When Friendly Fire is disabled you can also blast an Engineer up to the Axis spawnpoint with a grenade from a teammate. Using trickjumping it might be possible to get into the forward Axis spawnpoint but this only happens in trickjump games. Unless you are to focused on killing the Allies at their spawnpoint and forget about your own base. Usually it's absolutely necessary to blow up at least the main gate into the stronghold as a Covert Ops might not get many chances to get unseen to the teamdoor. At least the tunnelgrate has to be blown in up so that Covert Ops and Engineers can get through. But you do need the tank, even in this scenario. We had the Allies pinned down at their spawning point, the tank hadn't even crossed the bridge but had blown up the tunnelgrate. It actually happened to me once when I was playing on the Axis team. Of course this is theoretically and would be very hard to get through unnoticed. Stealing an Axis uniform, the Covert Ops could then open the team door into the stronghold (which can only be opened by Axis or an Allied Covert Ops in disguise), letting the Engineer in and leading him to the Fuel Dump. A Covert Ops and a Engineer could pass through it, run through the caves. Theoretically you could then finish it without using the tank futher. You need to at least blow up the tunnelgrate at the river. The tank's objective is to blow up 4 things, namely the tunnelgrate at the frozen river, the main gate into the caves, the gate of the Axis stronghold, with the Fuel Dump, and a damaged piece of wall at the side of the Axis stronghold. The graphics, especially the characters, aren't as good as in "RTCW" and the unit sound also decreased slightly but the gameplay and features were improved massively and the graphics are still better than games like "MOHAA" making it a very good game, better than "RTCW". I fear because the game became free, quality did suffer a bit.

So they decided to finish the multiplayer part and release it as a free downloadable game. Unfortunately the singleplayer part proved to be to hard to realise and it was dropped, but much progress had been made with the multiplayer part and they felt they couldn't let the fans down who were waiting. The main focus would be on the multiplayer part again with also improved gameplay and many added features that add to the teamplay effect. It would feature a new single-player campaign with massively updated gameplay, including computer controlled teammates (similar to "Medal of Honour: Allied Assault", but then better). "W:ET" was originally anticipated to be an expansion to "RTCW" but soon took the proportions of a sequel, rather than just an expansion (which would also mean an increased retail price).
